This beautifully crafted makta is made from high quality walnut wood and is used as a support for cutting nibs of bamboo and reed qalam pens and it is extremely useful tool for Arabic calligraphers who prefer to open their own pens and cut their nibs.
Sanding paper at the bottom of this makta is used for small nib adjustments.
