This special edition of a Shevki Efendi's model book was prepared by Dr. Omar Noah Qasem and is based on original version preserved in the National Library of Qatar which is believed to be written around 1878, 7 years before Sevki's death.
It is printed on 100% cotton paper with very clear strokes and writing details, preserving the size of the original document.
The lettering style revives the spirits of classical calligraphy masters, especially that of Hafiz Osman. This edition includes a variety of naskh letter connections that are not well known to many calligraphers.
