Written by Turkish calligrapher Sevim Bayzit Sirikci, this book is based on work of Ottoman calligrapher Hulusi Efendi whose Turkish Taliq is often considered gold-standard for the script.

Though the book is written in Turkish, the main part presenting the letters is based on pictures and can be followed easily even by those who do not speak Turkish.

After brief introduction to the script and tools used, the book presents individual letters in all their forms (isolated, beginning, middle, end of the word) followed by brief introduction to joint letters, sample texts in Taliq, Taliq work by some Turkish calligraphers and finally, complete mashq of Hulusi Efendi.
