Strong and durable, this writing mat for Arabic calligraphy is made from faux leather.

Placing softer surface under the paper when writing eases pressure on the wrist by lessening the friction and freeing hand movement. It also slows the writing down giving better control of the stroke and lessens pressure on the pen nib.

The mat's sleeve has firm mdf board inserted that can be removed if softer surface is required.
