Partially paralysed left hand calligrapher, Yesar Mehmed Es'ad Efendi became one of the most prominent Arabic calligraphers of his time.
After his brief biography in Turkish, English and Arabic, the book follows the usual format of mashq books and presents the individual letters, letter combinations, words and phrases as prepared by Es’ad for his students to copy.
