Handam qalams are made from reed found primarily in Indonesia. It is known for its characteristic shiny brown colour but also for its light weight and hardness making it ideal for Arabic calligraphy pens. Handam pens are strong and sturdy producing sharp lines without a frequent need to re-cut the nib.
To increase the time between cuts, use water-based inks and always clean the nib after use.
Available as a set of 5 pens or individually in sizes: 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm.
