Pilot parallel pen is unique calligraphy pen with a parallel plate nib structure which creates precise and sharp lines.
Nib has been ground for Arabic calligraphy ensuring crisp and clean lines which might impact on the smoothness of the nib's glide. It can be improved by using low porosity paper and by polishing and fine-tuning the nib using fine sanding paper (included with the order).
We do not recommend this pen if you are rather heavy handed as you might find them scratching the paper.

Please note these sizes are based on the original nib width - before it was adapted for Arabic calligraphy. The actual nib will slightly wider.
Each pen comes with black and red ink cartridge, nib cleaner, pen unit cleaner and small sheet of very fine sanding paper. Pen is packed in its original packaging but as the box had to be opened to alter the nib, you might notice some signs of manual handling on the box.
You may find traces of ink on the pen nib as each nib was tested during grinding process.
